Work began in meters N7,E1 N7,W1 and N7,W2 by cleaning and defining the baulks left as of the 1992 season. The southern baulk of these meters has eroded considerably and now sloped at a rather severe angle. While cleaning the floor in N7,W2, which is at an depth of almost 40 cm, a fragment of a fibula pin was found. Four additional fragments of pottery or, in one case, a group of fragments, were made finds due to stamps or moulded ridge on them.
As was encountered last year, a portion of N7,W2 is comprised of a yellowish soil while the remaining portion to the east as well as N7,W1 and N7,E1 are a dark brown soil. Materials are concentrated in this dark brown soil.
Further work along the southern baulk of meters N7,E1 and N7,W1, within the dark brown soil produced numerous fragments of a fineware bucchero stamped bowl, possibly forming a full profile and certainly associated with find #4 p.27 ( 19930130 and 19930131 ) 19930131 were found.
