The remaining area above about 60cm were continued to be lowered. From a dark brown soil with lots of carbon flecks in it came a very well preserved bronze implement or possibly a handle. A few pieces of pottery, some tile both burned and unburned come from here. Some of the plaster from here was also burned. In G-H/86-87 a small isthmus of darker soil with tile and pottery in small amounts apparently extended out from west to east aroung I-H/86-87. Once into M though what happened to be more of hte lighter textured and colored reoccured. From the above areas came 1 1/2 assette of 50% tile, 50% plaster eith the burned examples from G-H/90-91.

The tile fall in 90-92 continued to be cleaned down with continuing large quantities of plaster removed. About 1 cassette of floating tiles were removed. From th tree stump in M/91 come more fineware and several tile frags. Only about 10 frags, many of them joinig were found.

P.M.

The second cut to app 60-65 cm was completed in GH/86-87. App one cassette of tile and plaster (40% and 60% respectively) and one box of pottery was recovered. Along the I-H-G/85-86 balk a rock concentration including one large rock was found. These rocks were cleaned down to the bottom of the cut and left to be further defined at the next level.

At "true" floor level the fall continued to be cleaned down in 90-92. APp 1/2 cassette of loose tile frags was removed as well as plaster. Only a few sherds of pottery were found aroung the fall and a couple frags of bone. IN I-J/89-90 the tile fall mayb be lessening wiht less large pieces of tile and somewhat more soil in with the plaster. In LKJ/86-88 the cut was dropped to 60-65cm to uncover any tile fall or rocks. Very little material was foun in this cut so far. One cassette of tile ans 1 1/2 of plaster were removed. Almost 2 boxes of pottery ans close to oone box of bone, much of it burned, was found. Again much of the plaster was in large pieces some of the tile was burned.
