Work began with more scraping with trowels and defining stumps. The SW corner of Locus 6 is the lowest, so the rest of the locus is being lowered carefully to that level. Parts of the locus by the west baulk are still damp from yesterday’s rain; these will be left alone until dry. While scraping, a tooth was found.

Work continued slowly scraping the locus and further defining the large stump. Due to a sudden rainstorm, the trench was tarped and work ended. Opening elevations and material counts will be taken in the morning tomorrow. Approximately two hours of work were lost.
