Daily Log

June 22, 1976

Today work continued in Rectangle 10.

A profile was cut and drawn through Grids 4-5 at the A-B junctions .  Excavation continued in the area west of dike (grids EF/1-5) to a depth 65-75cm.  The soil continued to be dark brown and soft.  Three strawberry boxes of pottery and a fair amount of bucchero were found.

Grids B-C/3 were cleared to extend the E-W test trench.  Nothing but a bit of coarse pottery was found.
