AM Started excavation in Locus 2 working inward from the

16 & 11 S lines. Clay becomes lighter in W section of trench. Heavily rooted in N Section of trench.

PM Only pottery found in c. 12 - 13S & 44W, the rest of finds comprise badly worn TC fragments.

Special finds are concentrated in the NW sector. In the W part of the trench rockpack doesn't display any coherence. Beneath rockpack, fine

Yellowish-white soil appearing. Pulled up the root in central E portion of trench.
