Soil around the fryable terracotta was carefully removed. The terracotta and surrounding area was extensively photographed. The terracotta was then removed from the interior of the stone feature. It apparently is a fragmentary pan-tile with marking preserved on one side. The object is now in three pieces and will be conserved in the magazzino.
The soil around the carinated vessel was removed and the area of the bowl defined. The visible portion of the bowl was then photographed and drawn on the plan. When removed, the vessel preserves a full profile in 12 fragments.

Work continued in the S 12-13, W 57-58 meters. This trench is now at an approximate depth of 40-45 cm below surface. Soil at floor level is yellowish brown. Little
material has been removed thus far, although fragmentary terracotta is found in higher frequency in S 14, W 57-58 near the stone concentration/formation. Stones thus far in the cut are smallish (cir. 15-25 cm diameter) and do not appear to be associated with the stone formation yet.
A few small fragments of plaster have surfaced inside the area of the stone feature. These will be further defined this afternoon.
P.M.
Work continued with mestiline in meters S 14, W 57 defining the stone pack outside the stone formation. Numerous pieces of terracotta were revealed and drawn on the plan in this work. A pithos rim and coarseware rim were among the fragments found.
Soil was removed from inside the stone formation. No material was revealed and one large stone was removed from the interior.
